I was thinking about a doll she made for my girls when they were toddlers. It was a stuffed cloth girl with long yellow hair made of yarn. The doll, which my daughters named "Dolla" was a wonderful companion to my girls bringing them much laughter!

If I was having a challenging day, I would go see Carol. Her soft voice and smile always cheered me up. We would occasionally exchange notes on how our sons were doing. It took quite a while for me to get use to the idea that she had retired. Steve, thank you for donating Carol's pictures to the school. They now hang in the school library in her memory. We can't help but smile back as we pass her pictures.

Although I won't ever get to N41 21.604 and W071 36.394 your site really does feel like a special way to visit with Carol. Reading the stories you wrote and viewing the photos made me recall the many times where Carol shared many of those experiences and highlights of her life when she ,Beryl and I would get together to "catch up". Carol was always so animated when talking with her expressive eyes and big smile. It was always easy to see how much she loved you and Shaun. That great love was the biggest reason for her beautiful smile! We miss Carol and will always treasure her friendship. Thanks for sharing Carolssmile!
It's been ten years, I still miss her every day. I decided to do something, so asked my cousins David and Debbie O'Brien to take me to the coordinates of Carol's ashes in their vessel. Being the most gracious, kindliest, and generous people you will ever want to meet, they said "let's go"
On August 25, a clear and warm evening we headed out of Salt Pond on our expedition.
We stopped, made a toast to Carol's memory with some sparkling wine and I read " My Beloved Wife" by
Natalie Merchant
It was a great night and a wonderful experience.
On the way back Debbie took a picture of the sunset, she did not set any filters, the hearts just showed up.
Technological glitch or Devine intervention, you decide.
